Has anyone read this book yet? And if yes, what's your impression?

Working my way through it at the moment.
My impression so far is that is typical David Rohl. Broad in scope, yet retaining a very readable (to the layman) style. I've been waiting years for this and I'm not disappointed. Very courageous scholar and excellent writer/broadcaster.

Do you know how to get hands on charts and exact time tables for the dates proposed by Rohl?

Hmmm..... I'm not sure. I've seen some incomplete Egyptian dynastic tables which I believe are Rohl's dates. I could dig out "A Test of Time" and draft something in Excel if you like? Other than that, I'm sorry, but I haven't seen anything in chart form online.

So far I haven't found anything usable on the net either. The charts I have made have some gaps unfortunately. And without a proper TIP time table the entire Rohl thing appears somewhat shaky to anyone who is doubtful about Rohl's theories anyways. BTW I am re-reading "The Lords of Avaris" as well.

I'll try to draft something for you asap. I'm in total agreement in that the TIP is the sticking point. Afaik it seems to be the commonly held view of these dynasties as sequential (including, to an extent, XIX & XX) which necessitates the "Dark Ages" throughout other parts of the world.
It's amazing how those Classical Greeks and Romans managed to forget those centuries of obscurity......
