I can't believe that Rohl put all the information I always wanted into the one book of his that I do not have  Shocked
Thanks so, so much Wink
I'll start the task of merging these data with the (until now rather unordered) data already in the database....

These are all the king lists I can find in "that book" Smiley

You might also want to add Absalom to the list of United Israelite Kingdom rulers - Rohl dates his brief reign to 985 BC.

You never know...  Cheesy

OK, what else can I do design-wise to improve the website? And the charts.
I have come to the conclusion that I really need to change the navigation somehow... and make it easier to get to the dynastic tables. Maybe I should have an index page for the various dynasties?

Hmmm.... I like the design of the site. One suggestion might be charts encompassing all dynasties on the landing pages when visitors click on a particular chronology on the front page.

For how long was Shaul king of Israel? I keep reading that it was something between 35 and 40 years. However, in the NC he seems to have ruled only a very few years.

Jewish tradition (corroborated by the New Testament) has him reigning for forty years, though I've seen dates of 2, 12 and 22 bandied about.

Considering Labayu was known as far away as Arzawa, I'd suspect his reign would be longer than the 2 years (1012-1011?) Rohl credits him with. Surely he's going to need to have an established power base before challenging pharaoh and courting such distant princes as Tarhuntaradu.

I wonder if he was an important figure way before he became a king "officially", so that (just as in the case of David) there is confusion about his reign length. A margin of over 30 years seems quite a lot and it would stir questions about David's age and role at Shaul's court.
